A most confusing web site.

    Hi Dominic,

It would certainly appear so ;-)

You originally posted this as a comment on the question about the population of Elmley Caste !

All constructive criticism is welcome, if you would like to share your specific thoughts as to why the site is confusing then I will work to improve things. The visual design is being re-worked already and the new version should be online by the middle of March.

As far as including the details of the County Councillor, of course these could be added, but the site is a local community website for Elmley Castle and the surrounding villages.

Details are available about the Parish Council and the District Councillor as these are the local contacts who cover this area.

We could easily add the County Councillor, Local Member of Parliament and even the Local Member of the European Parliament, but I thought they were outside the scope of a village website?

At the end of the day, it is a community site and if people would like to see this information, then I will be happy to add it to the site.

If anybody else has a view on including the details of more remote public officials, please let me know, either by posting a comment to this or emailing editor@ElmleyCastle.com

    Thank you

Sorry but my comment was posted there because I could not find another place to post it.

The County Councillor is a community person. Most of my council tax is spent by his or her organisation. I would like the deatails. Our County Councillor is not a remote official. He represents Elmley Castle and the vilages.

A lot more important than our district council since it spends far more.

He funds the roads, and pot holes, he funds the schools…details please.

On reflection I think I was wrong not including the County Councillor as his electoral ward is not that much greater than the district councillor’s.

Check out the new page on local government councillors:
